2) Costa Rica
Located between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, the small island of Costa Rica is the ideal destination for nature lovers: lush jungle, wild beaches, volcanoes but also an exceptional fauna and flora. Here the observation of animals is one of the main activities in a nature always so beautiful and well preserved. For accommodation, Costa Rica counts luxurious ecolodges and very well integrated in the natural environment for a total immersion.
Don’t be fooled by the bad reputation of this country which has a lot to offer to travelers in search of trendy and atypical destinations. Colombia offers multiple faces with its colonial vestiges found in the city of Cartagena, its coffee plantations, its wild beaches without forgetting the pre-Columbian vestiges which will make you travel in another time. For your accommodation, you will have the joy of discovering a rather typical charming hotel business as in haciendas reconverted into boutique hotels for example.
4) Myanmar (Burma)
Located at the border of Thailand, Myanmar has nothing to envy to its very touristy neighbor! This still unknown destination has everything to please: a Buddhist spirituality to discover, an extremely rich culture with its colonial vestiges, its impressive number of pagodas without forgetting the Inle lake bordered by rice fields. There are some luxury accommodations like the famous Belmond located in the heart of Yangon.
Nestled at the foot of the Himalayas, it is undoubtedly the destination which has the wind in its sails for a few years and which is recognized as being the happiest country in the world. Recently opened to tourism, it also limits its number of visitors! It is therefore a destination that must be deserved, as opposed to the mass tourism of its neighboring countries. Whether it is its monastic fortresses built on cliffs or the kindness of its inhabitants, it is a country from which one returns deeply changed. For the accommodation, it is the luxury hotel of high flight as for example the superb Amankora of the chain Aman that you can find.
Less known than French Polynesia, the Fiji Islands have nothing to envy! Here nature and its lagoons are absolutely out of the ordinary and it is a paradise for lovers of large white sand beaches with coconut trees. It is of course the ideal place for diving in one of the most beautiful lagoon in the world.
Going to Cuba is a real trip back in time. You just have to walk around Havana to see its old American cars and its colored facades and you are immediately transported in another time! Beyond its very rich cultural heritage and many places classified as world heritage by UNESCO, Cuba is also an atmosphere, a unique atmosphere that must be experienced. As far as accommodation is concerned, you can choose between large international structures that are rather impersonal or charming hotels that are more typical but offer more limited service.
This volcanic island halfway between Europe and North America offers a breathtaking nature. Exceptional landscapes with geysers, stone deserts and meadows with numerous horses will delight lovers of wild landscapes. This island offers to its travelers two very different faces depending on the period in which one goes there (summer and winter). As far as accommodation is concerned, the establishments are rather rustic but there are nevertheless a few nuggets that are worth the detour alone!
